Abstract: Based on the status of cross-strait intellectual property protection and agriculture technical development, the econometric model was built up by using CobbDouglas production function which was used to analyze the impacts of intellectual property protection on the development of cross-strait agricultural techniques. The results showed that the impacts of intellectual property protection on the development of cross-strait agricultural techniques both passed the significance tests while Taiwan’s agricultural technique was affected to a larger extent. Last, the countermeasures were put forward including making appropriate policies, improving the protection institutions and regulations, supporting agricultural education and realizing regional independent innovation, etc.
